Emily In Paris star Lucien Laviscount finally addressed Bond rumours on GMB on Thursday as he claimed he has David Beckham to thank for becoming famous

The actor, 31, joined hosts Ranvir Singh, 46, and Ed Balls, 57, on the famous morning show

During the interview they asked him what his thoughts were on becoming the next James Bond to which he simply responded with 'Listen, if the Bond phone call came in, you don't turn that down.'

He also discussed his first big break: 'I was 10 years old, out with my mum window shopping in Manchester and then got asked to audition for this modelling job and I just thought "Great, it’s a day off school."

'I ended up getting the job which turned out to be with Marks and Spencer and David Beckham.

'I was a bit of a naughty kid I guess, confident kid, chatty and David was like "Listen, you should get into acting".

'He got his assistant to call an acting school in Manchester and that’s kind of how it all started.'

He also talked about returning to Emily In Paris for season four and described the moment he got the first call.

He revealed: 'I was in New York at the time and I got a phone call from my manager saying "Lucien, get yourself on tape, Darren Star wants to see you for Emily in Paris!"

'I was like right okay. Everything stopped, I dropped everything - my friend left the nail salon and she had tin foil on her nails. She came back, helped me do the tape, and the next day I was on a Zoom call with Lily and Darren.'

He added: 'I came in for the second season so I was the new kid at school for sure.

Lucien also discussed how he met former footballer David and how he helped him kick-start his career

He revealed: 'I was 10 years old, out with my mum window shopping in Manchester and then I got asked to audition for this modelling job and I just thought "Great, it’s a day off school"

He added:'I ended up getting the job which turned out to be with Marks and Spencer and David'

'I had seen the success for the first season and I really enjoyed the first season as well, so to be able to come into it knowing the success came with a little bit of pressure as you hope it’s going to be as good as the first season.

'But three hours later after doing this Zoom call with Darren, I was packing my bags and off to Paris… It lives in this fantasy world of Paris and I love Paris.

'I think it’s something that everybody needs, even if they don’t think they need it. I don’t think you can walk away from Emily In Paris feeling bad.'

Emily In Paris is set to return for a fourth season and lead star Lilyhas promised the series will be full of 'adventure.'

Lily, 35, who stars as American Emily Cooper in the Netflixshow, has confirmed the upcoming episodes will land on the global streaming platform in two parts.

The star also confirmed he will be returning to Emily In Paris for season four and described the moment he got the first call

He revealed: 'I was in New York at the time and I got a phone call from my manager saying "Lucien, get yourself on tape, Darren Star wants to see you for Emily in Paris!"

The first five shows will be available to watch on August 15 with viewers having to wait almost an entire month for the second instalment in September.

The cast, including Lucien and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, 61, aka her Parisian boss Sylvie, claimed the new season is going to bring more drama than ever before.

Lucien branded the series 'chaotic' and 'heartbreaking' while Philippine gave a taste of the action by saying the new episodes are all about 'revenge.'

Earlier this month, Lily announced: 'Season four comes out this August 15 for part one. Part two drops on September 12, you're welcome.'

In an accompanying video, Lily and her co-stars answered in three words how they would describe the new series, with Camille Razat, 30, whose character discovered she was pregnant at the end of season three, saying it's 'messy.'

Ashley Park, 32, who plays Emily's best friend, Mindy Chen, joked: 'If I could describe season four in three words right now… not finished yet…'

Luca, one of Emily's French colleagues acted byBruno Gouery, hinted towards a possible new love interest for the marketing executive, calling the series 'Bellezza' which is 'beauty' in Italian.

His tease follows new photographs of the upcoming series which showed Emily looking lovingly at a handsome man, played by actor Eugenio Franceschini, during scenes filmed in Rome, Italy, at the Trevi Fountain.

Emily hasn't had the best luck with dating since relocating from Chicago to Paris in pursuit of her dream marketing job.

She fell for neighbour Gabriel aka Lucas Bravo, 36, despite the chef being in an on/off relationship with her close friend Camille.

And her romance with Brit Alfie came to a dramatic end when Camille refused to marry Gabriel in the series three finale, revealing she had always known about his hidden feelings for Emily.

There are secrets yet to be exposed including Camille's affair with artist Sofia, which Emily knows about, but Gabriel remains unaware.

Plus, the major revelation of Camille's pregnancy, will leave any possible chance of a romance between Emily and Gabriel even harder to navigate.

Emily In Paris was created by Sex and the City writer Darren Star, who has admitted he understands why viewers have made comparisons between Lily's character and Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker.

He said: 'I get why people will link the two series. Each takes place in a glamorous city with a female lead but the idea of Emily In Paris was very different. I've wanted to write a show about an expatriate living in Paris for quite some time.'
