Information for you who are pregnant

We have divided the information into four chapters:

  • Halfway through - welcome to the second half of the pregnancy!

We recommend you to read this information in early pregnancy, preferably before your first visit to the midwife at the Midwifery Clinic.

HALFWAY THROUGH - welcome to the second half of your pregnancy!

  • Sleeping position during pregnancy

After week 28 of pregnancy, pregnant women are recommended to lie on their side while sleeping or resting. Sleeping postitions vary during sleep, wich is normal. You can sleep on either your right side or your left side. If you wake up lying on your back there is no reason to worry - just lie down on either side again and go back to sleep.

When you are pregnant, the joints in your body become more flexible. You may experience pain in your pelvic area. This is common and usually goes away after childbirth (1177). Sometimes we recommended you to see a physiotherapist.

Welcome to our courses in birth preparation! The course will be held by midwives.

Halfway through your pregnancy the midwife sends a Certificate of Pregnancy digitally to Försäkringskassan. At their webpage you can find information about parental benefit and how to apply.
